Activating the new installation
Send us the APM ID of the unit that is being replaced and we will clear it for activation.
Once the software is activated quit out of the kiosk software and then make the following changes.
For the operating system on the new machine ensure auto-update is turned on and insure all of the automatic Windows updates are installed (there can be several of these and it may require a few reboots before all are installed).
You will most likely need to make adjustments to the Network and Sharing settings (for Windows 7 and 8) in order for the machine to be detected and accessible on the Network. I recommend turning on network discovery, enabling file sharing and disabling password protected sharing. A quick Google search will cover each option (they all reside in the Network and Sharing section of the Control Panel).
Also, set the machine to never go to sleep or hibernate.
If you can copy files from the old setup to the newly updated kiosk you can copy the creative content from this directory: C:\APM_FOLDERS\Packages
To copy pricing and settings from an existing kiosk copy the following files found in c:\apm to the newly updated machine:

Enable the folio workflow (for creative products): Access the Setup Wizard and navigate to APM Add-on Components>Folio
