If you are tech-savvy and have time to do it yourself, here are the steps.

  1. Install new kiosk software on your new computer. 
    1. Only the updater is posted on myLab... please contact support@photofinale.com for the link to the full installer. 
    2. In your email, please include

Activating the new installation 
 
Send us
    1. the APM ID of the unit
that is
    1. being replaced
and
    1. so we
will
    1. can clear
it for
    1. the activation.
  2. Activate the new installation. 
    1. Run the installed software and input the activation we supply.
    2. Once the software is activated
quit out of
    1. , Quit the kiosk software
and then

  2. In your computer settings, make the following changes
.

    1. Windows Update: Ensure the Windows
For the operating system on the new machine ensure
    1. auto-update is turned on and
insure
    1. that all of the automatic Windows updates are installed (there can be several of these and it may require a few reboots before all are installed).
 
    1. Network and Sharing settings:You will most likely need to make adjustments to the Network and Sharing settings in order for the machine to be detected and accessible on the
Network
    1. network. 
I recommend turning on network discovery, enabling file sharing and disabling password protected sharing.

    1. Copy the creative content from this directory: C:\APM_FOLDERS\

  2. Open the Setup Wizard (APM Add-on Components > Folio). 
    1. Enable the folio workflow (for creative products)

  2. Reboot and the kiosk software will run with the settings from your old machine applied.
