Lab 50 offers built-in photo editing and enhancement prior to printing. It also has the flexibility to use other third-party applications for editing photos. This section will briefly cover the editing options available through Lab 50. For information on configuring each option, click on the section title to be taken to the configuration details.

Photo Editing

Lab 50 offers built-in photo editing and enhancement prior to printing. It also has the flexibility to use other third-party applications for editing photos.
You can edit photos from the orders screen simply by double-clicking on the image from the Photos tab. The image will by default open within the Lab 50 screen, but an alternate image viewer such as Adobe Photoshop, the default Windows Image viewer, or another preferred application may be configured for use as well. Auto-Enhancement

Lab 50 has the ability to auto enhance images using a third-party algorithm. To ensure quality and production standards are met, specific channels can be assigned to manipulate the image characteristics of particular products. For information on configuring channels, please see the section on configuring Auto-Enhancement.

  1. At the top of the Menu bar, select Settings.
  2. On the left panel select Photo Processing > Auto Enhancement.
  3. Check the box Enable auto enhancement processing.
  4. Click on the Add button at the bottom of the right panel to begin the setup of a new Channel.

5. When the new dialogue box appears, enter a Name for the New Channel (Ex. Minilab).
6. (Optional) In the Description field, enter a brief description of the channel (Ex. This is the I2E channel for our minilab to sharpen and redden images for color accuracy).
7. Leave the box Enable this Channel checked.
8. (Optional) A sample image may be used as a litmus test for the settings for this channel. Click on the _Select a
preview photo_ link, and then locate the image you would like to use as a sample using the windows dialog box. You can also change this image at any time to see how the settings affect different test images.

ColorFlow

ColorFlow is another editing option available in Lab 50. Using ColorFlow, lab operators can export photos from any ordered product and color-correct them using their favorite editor before Lab 50 assembles them into the final rendered pages/product. How to set up ColorFlow.**Note: The sample image(s) needs to be a Jpeg file and in landscape formatting.
