Add any products where you want to control the rendering. Products that render with borders will need to be added. If you do not use the Borders setting for prints or you have a product where you don't need to alter how it's rendered, then you don't need to add those products here, as the Hot Folder location is also used as a catch-all for any product whose print routing is not specifically defined, so those work even if you do not define them in the Setup Wizard. 

 


Configuring Products:

  1. Select the Product Rendering Configuration line to highlight it (the area around Product Rendering Configuration turn blue).
  2. Click on the small button labeled "…" that appears on the right-hand side.
  3. This will launch the Product Rendering Settings window. There are options to Add, Edit, or Delete each product.


Adding/Editing Products:

  1. To add a product, click on the Add button. To edit, select a product and click Edit. This will launch the Product Rendering window.
  2. In the Product field, use the drop-down menu to select the product.
  3. For DPI, 300 is generally used.
  4. Enter the Width and Height, as indicated and if needed. These fields will auto-fill when the product is selected.
  5. Click OK when finished.


Adding a Missing Product:

If there is a product you want to add but it's not in the pulldown, you will need to add it manually. To do this... 

  1. Close the Setup Wizard and Lab 50 software.
  2. Add the products to your apmconfig_products_custom.xml file that is in this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Lucidiom Lab 50\Tools\Printserver  If that file does not exist, you will need to create it or download this sample one: apmconfig_products_custom.xml. If you already have a file with this name, open it and use that. File opens in Notepad++, a free editor.  Add a line for each item that is missing from the pulldown. Use the line in there for product 9001 as an example. Use the same number for the product ID and position ID. These IDs should match the product ID (or fulfillment ID if that is used) that has been assigned to the product you are trying to print.
  3. Save and add back to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Lucidiom Lab 50\Tools\Printserver folder on your Lab 50 computer. Once that file is in place the products will be available in the Setup Wizard for configuration. Open the SW (Lab 50 > Settings > Print Server > APM Setup Wizard) and resume setup.


Deleting a Product:

  1. Select the size you wish to delete from the Product Rendering Settings window.
  2. Press the Delete button.


Once you have added all the products, proceed to the next step to assign them to this printer.
