Links on the Home Screen of Lab 50

On the Home Screen, there are several important links and pieces of information that you may need to refer to from
time to time.

From top to bottom, the Home Screen provides the following information:

  • The Version number
  • The Licensor and License Key used to activate the software
  • Link to deactivate the Lab 50 license on this computer
  • Links to various resources including:
    • General account information
    • A Setup Checklist
    • Lab 50 User’s Guide
    • Links for Technical Support
    • Requesting a Sub Account
    • Link to the Current End-User License Agreement

You can also setup the software to automatically remember your password and log you in.
Also, if you are not currently connected to the internet, you can login as a guest by selecting the Option to work
offline.

**Note: You will only be able to fulfill and print orders that are coming from APMs on your local network if you select the offline method.

Lab 50 Environment Overview

Lab 50 provides a list of tabs at the top of the screen for navigating between the configuration and order
management screens. Each of these menus and corresponding sub-menus allow you to configure different sections
of the Lab 50 software. The Main menu tabs appear below:

Tool Bar: The Tool Bar may be used to access common tasks for order management, such as downloading an order.

Status Bar: The status bar displays the status of the most current activity, including the status of orders,
synchronization with the server, printing, etc.

Task Pane: The Task Pane includes task buttons that apply to the current screen. It
expands and contracts to show the options available under each activity allowing you to
concentrate on the task at hand.

Workspace: The Workspace provides all of the configuration options for a particular activity. When you navigate in
and out of activities, the screen associated with that activity will be displayed in the Workspace.
