Orders Screen

The Orders screen allows you to centrally manage orders from multiple locations, including local and remote kiosk orders, web orders, and orders from sub accounts. You can customize the order queue, search for orders, view order details, import/export orders, create CD and DVD from the order, print orders, print order invoices, etc.

There are several order status indicators to assist in searching and processing orders, such as:

  • Order Filter (A)
  • Search Field (B)
  • Sorting Link (C)
  • Order Details (D)
  • Order Actions (E)
  • Order Selection (F)
  • Status Indicators (G)

2. You can also use the Filter Options button in the bottom, left corner of the Orders screen to access additional filtering options. These options include:

  • Filtering by Product
  • Filtering by Location
  • Filtering by Order Date and Import Location

Filter by Products
Once you have accessed the Filter Options button, the first tab option displayed is Products.

  1. To filter by product, select whether you would like to start by Including or Excluding certain products.
  2. Next, select the products to include or exclude from display.

This filter is particularly useful if you have multiple copies of Lab 50 running in a single location and have each instance of Lab 50 dedicated to specific products.

Filter by Location
The Location tab allows you to filter out orders that are meant to be processed by additional store-front locations. Your options include:

  • Don't show orders that are being shipped - used by labs that are solely processing orders for in-store pickup.
  • Show orders for all pickup locations - used when there is only one store location available for pickup, or to review order history across all store locations.
  • Only show orders for selected pickup locations - used when there are multiple pickup locations to display only the orders intended for processing by a particular location, or to quickly see which orders need to be processed for a particular location.
  • Don't show orders that are for pickup - used in locations that solely process online orders or when kiosk processing is no longer necessary for the day to quickly access orders to prepare for shipment.

Filter by More Options
The More Options tab allows you to specify how long orders should appear in the orders screen and whether or not orders imported in another copy of Lab 50 should be displayed.

  1. To change the number of days orders are displayed, use the slide bar to increase or decrease the number of days.
  2. To view orders that have only been imported in the local copy of Lab 50, check the box Don't show orders that were imported on another machine.

The option to hide orders imported in additional copies of Lab 50 is recommended for labs with multiple locations processing orders.

Search Field (B)

You can search for orders using the search box in the top, right corner of the Orders screen. Entering a product type, customer name, or partial order number will all return a sorted order list. For example, you can type in "4x6" to find all orders that contain a 4x6 product. Alternatively, you could type in "Smith" to find any orders that contain Smith as a first or last name.

Sort Order (C)

By default, orders are sorted in the order in which they are received. However, at the bottom of the screen, you can choose to sort by other methods. To change the sort order, click on the link next to the text Sort By, and a menu of available options will be displayed.

Order Details (D)

When you click on an order, details about the order will appear on the right panel of the Orders screen. The Summary, Photos, and Details tabs may be used to view additional information for each order.

  • Summary: Displays products ordered, pickup or shipping location, customer name, and price total.
  • Photos: Displays thumbnails for each image in the selected order.
  • Details: Displays the product type, description and quantity.

**Note: Additionally, if the customer has a membership plan, you can click on their name to access membership details.

Order Actions (E)

The menu bar on the top of the Orders screen features several action buttons for quickly completing common tasks. In some cases, you can apply these actions to more than one order by highlighting multiple orders and then clicking the selected action.

  • Open Order: Highlight the order, then press Open Order to view the order details.
  • Download: Highlight the order, then press Download to download the images for the selected order. You can also set Lab 50 to download orders automatically. For more information on setting orders to download automatically, please reference the section on configuring order downloads.
  • Print Orders: To print an order, click on it then click the Print Orders button. You'll then see thumbnails appear for each image in the order as well as the quantity and size to be printed. Once the correct items are checked (all are checked by default), click the Print button.
  • Print Invoices: Highlight the order, then press Print Invoices to print the invoice for the selected order. The invoices will be printed on your default printer specified in Windows.
  • Refresh: Click this button to refresh the orders listed in your queue.
Status Indicators (F)

Information on the current status of LAB 50 will be displayed in this window. Importing, backing up, downloading, and
processing orders are examples of tasks that may be displayed. Status indicators will also give you information such
as the progress of processing an order or burning a disc.
