The Ordering tab

Within the Ordering tab, you can enable online ordering as well as the additional options available while placing an order.

In the Shopping section, you can select to allow the customer to add special instructions to an order, specify custom gift information, configure whether or not to offer an Image CD, Image DVD, or DVD Cinema product, enable white borders as a print option, and determine whether the image media is included automatically with every order.

In the Payment section, you can specify whether an order needs to be pre-paid Always, Only when Shipping an Order, Only when an Order has reached a particular amount, Only when an Order and/or Shipping has reached a particular amount, or Never.

In the Catalogs section, you can specify the catalog the website should use for displaying prints, giftscreative products, and border options. By default, the Lab 50 software will pull these products from whichever catalog you have specified as your default catalog within Store Management > Product Catalog. However, you can override those settings by selecting your alternate product catalog from the drop-down menu.

Products displayed on Photo Finale web are displayed as follows:

  • Print productsCatalog: Populated using the catalog selected as "Prints catalog" in Application Settings.
  • Gift productsCreative Catalog: Populated using the catalog selected as "Gift Creative catalog" in Application Settings. Gift Creative products include all products except Prints, Borders, Membership Plans, and Purchase Plans.
  • Border productsBorders Catalog: Populated using the catalog selected as "Border catalog" in Application Settings.Membership Plans: Populated using all registered dealer membership plans. These do not need to belong to any catalog.
  • Purchase Plans: Populated using all registered dealer purchase plans. These do not need to belong to any catalog.

In the Photo Review section, you can specify that if a certain image size is ordered it is swapped for a more appropriate print size based on the image's aspect ratio. This is most often used for customers that order a 4x6 print while taking from photos on a digital camera that utilizes an aspect ratio more appropriate for a 4x5.33 ratio.

Lastly, Photo Finale Web v7 now utilizes a similar user interface as similar to the APM software for ordering creative products. In order to customize the four buttons displayed in at the top of the screen under the Create option, you will need to specify which product groups to use in the Featured Items section of the Ordering tab. You can specify any of the categories within your default catalog, a random occasion, selection of a seasonal occasion based on the time of year, or an occasion from Lucidiom's content list.

The Sharing tab

Within the Sharing tab, you can specify whether or not customers may share links to their online albums.
