Step 3 --Remove/Replace the Receipt Printer:

 

Orientate the tray pulled from Step 2 and remove the two ribbon cables that go from the thermal receipt printer (Mechanical Print Head) to the thermal receipt printer’s controller board. The two ribbon cables have to be removed from the controller board.

Please use caution to not damage the ribbon cables on removal and reinstall. The ribbon cables are secured into place by plastic tabs that have to be released before the ribbon cables can be safely pulled out

Once the two ribbon connects are released from the controller board orientate the tray so that the Receipt printer (front) is facing you. Open the receipt printer door. This will give you access to the two small screws that secure the receipt printer to the receipt printer chassis. See pictures below:
