In this section we will cover the Fulfillment options under the Preferences menu order fulfillment options in detail. These settings are the area
where you determine the general and specific settings for the available product outputs, as follows:.accessed via Settings > Fulfillment, and they include the following:

  • Print Server
  • Output Folder
  • Disk Maker
  • Back Lab Burner
  • Adobe PDF
  • ADRS

General Printer Settings

There are several Options available that you can configure in the General Section for Printing.
These commands govern the Lab 50 steps to processing images upon receipt..

The options configured via the General tab control the steps taken by Lab 50 upon receipt of an order.

  1. Access Settings > Fulfillment > General.
  2. On the right panel, the following options are available:
  • Rotate images automatically: Check the box to automatically rotate images that are auto rotated by the camerato the correct orientation. _This only applies when the
    Output Folder option is used._
  • Apply borders to images: Check the box to render the borders with the photo. This only applies when the Output Folder option is used.
  • Output order files: Check the box to export an order.xml. Set the file with the order. The folder location specifies where you want the order
    file files to be stored. By default it , the folder path is the same Export folder path used for the imageswithin the main Lab 50 installation directory. This only applies when the Output Folder option is used. Normally this isn’t necessary.
    • Mask payment details: If you choose to output the order file, you have the option to encrypt the
      credit card information contained in the order file for security purposes.

***Note: As of December 2009, payment information is no longer viewable within Lab 50 for PCI compliance.

  • Process orders automatically after download: Check the box to allow all orders to be processed automatically after they are downloaded.
    • Do not process orders with over X copies: If the process all orders automatically after download option is enabled, you can choose to not to process the order if the orders contain more than X prints. X represents the number of prints.
    • Do not process orders valued more than $X: If the process all orders automatically after download option is enabled, you can choose to not to process the order if the orders with total more than $X. X represents the total dollar amount.
  • Rendering DPI: Render the images with using the specified DPI set here.

4. After making the necessary changes, press Apply Changes or Save and exit.

Adobe PDF Interface

Certain photo products, such as photo books and posters, provide offer the option to process the order in either JPEG or PDF format. If you choose opt to print in using PDF format, there are two supported PDF Interfaces within the Lab 50 software that can be chosen. One option is printing to print via the Lab 50 Adobe PDF Interface, and the other is via Print Server, and you will configure through the Setup Wizard. .

In this section, we will only go over the configuration settings for the Lab 50 Adobe PDF Interface. This is rarely used. InsteadAlthough this option is available for processing, we recommend using the PDF interface for the EQ-9800/9850 or the Hot Folder interface via the Print Server for maximum automation and customization. For instructions on how to set up the PDF Printer Interface via Setup Wizard, see “Printing Via Print Server” section.Note: For more details on how to configure PDF Printer Interface using the Setup Wizard, see APM User’s Manual, “Printer Interfaces” section.
